Vivian Kay is my pen name. I’m a Christian fiction writer, a mother, wife, and therapist living in Canada. When I’m not writing, I enjoy playing scrabble, dancing and snuggling up with a good book.

My sister-writer Unoma Nwankwor was the first person to talk to me about an author tagline. I’m glad she did because it made me think about the kind of faith stories I wanted to tell.
When I published Secret Places, I was forced to have some interesting conversations with family and friends about the issues discussed in the book. I’m still polishing my tarnished halo. Will appreciate any anti-rust tip.
On a serious note, I’m thankful that we don’t have to be perfect before we can stand in God’s presence. He knows everything and He still cares. Isn’t that liberating?

While making this poster I decided to use the word joyful instead of merry because I realized that for so many people these are not merry times. I chose joyful because I believe that the joy God gives is not dependent upon our circumstance whatever that may be. And hope according to God’s word does not make us ashamed. It will not leave us without an anchor. As we count down to 2017, I pray His joy and hope for you and yours. Amen.
When I hear people use the phrase “fake it til you make it” I don’t think of the self-fulfilling prophecy or confidence building angle. Instead, I think of the damage that could occur from living a life in which you force your authentic self into a foreign mould.
There are no guidelines around what to fake, how long you have to fake it, or what to do when faking it doesn’t work.
Perhaps instead of faking it til we make it, we can faith it til He wills it. I know there’s a peace that comes from being where He wants you to be.
